Pritchard Residence
Conceptual Study - Oakland The homeowners feel like their kitchen is too small and outdated to serve their current need. Additionally the circulation through the house is problematic. SDA has completed a conceptual design study generating several options for this client ranging from an interior remodel as the simplest intervention, to a possible 2-story addition. -
EBCRP Studios
SDA has been selected by East Bay Community Recovery Project to design their newest development endeavor. Two single-family homes in West Oakland will be converted into seven or eight studios of permanent supportive housing for EBCRP clients. Natalie Bonnewit is assisting EBCRP as their development project manager. The project is expected to reach completion by the end of 2010. -
Mission Bell Community Facilities
Allied Housing is seeking to create a Resident Lounge for their clients living at Mission Bell Apartments in San Leandro, as well as a number of offices for supportive services providers. SDA is providing pro-bono design services for the conversion of an outdated parking garage (originally used for Model-T vehicles) into occupied spaces serving residents and visitors. -
AEF Teacher Store and Offices
SDA is providing pro-bono space planning services to help this teacher-support organization move into their new Teacher Store as well as their new offices. The Alameda Education Foundation accepts donations of educational and craft materials, which local teachers can then use in their classrooms, as one function of its mission. -

Lion Creek Crossing, Phase IV
These 72 affordable apartments are closer to construction by Nibbi Brothers, General Contractors, as they await Building Permits from the City of Oakland. SDA is the project architect, and Thomas Dolan is the architect-of-record. This project is the fourth phase of construction in an affordable housing masterplan near the Oakland Coliseum BART Station. Developers: East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, Oakland Housing Authority, and The Related Companies of California.
