As the focus of his Masters Thesis work while attending Miami University, Gary Struthers was a co-creator of the design/build studio in the undergraduate program. Students worked in Over-the-Rhine, an impoverished neighborhood in downtown Cincinnati. Students designed and constructed projects in conjunction with a local grass roots non-profit organization to provide affordable housing.
